Siphelele Mnyande (aka Poet The Sonnet, Mr. Blue Murda, The Black Jo Pesch) was born on the 11th of March 1985 in Umtata, Transkei, South Africa. With his roots buried in the same Muthaland as that of Nelson Mandela, Poet always knew he was born to be different. Raised in East London, Poet was first introduced to hip-hop at an impressionable age. The Hip Hop of the 90’s was Poet’s staple, a time characterized by inspirational changes in the industry and true evolution, change that would eventually assist in molding Poet The Sonnet into the artist he is today.

Born May 22, in Inkster MI, identical twins Santoine and Antoine Jackson have been musically inclined since birth.  In 1991, the two decided it was time to share their story of struggle and street life through rap.  Inspired by God, friends and fellow rappers Esham and the Geto Boys, it was then the duo became Hostile.  The name reflects their "way of hitting the beat with such hostility."
